What’s Summer without a Summer Getaway, and what’s a Summer Getaway without the beach, a lukewarm sea and cosy chalets? Koh Samed called.

Being the dog-loving nomad that I am, my pups and I inevitably move a lot. Having just moved into a condominium from a landed property where they used to be able to roam about, we've had a change-up in our routines to ensure our babies stay happy despite the 360 environment shift. you know that rooted feeling that you're not where you were meant to be, with that persistent chiding at the back of your mind telling you you need to, and should have done things different? i'm sitting on one of those. it's been a year now that i've known it to be not right- which means it's been a year now, that i haven't done what i had to do.
so after all these years, i lay awake till six alone tracing the textured lines on the ceiling with my eyes, likening it to stories i’ve been told and try piece the spirals together in a dozen, dozen creative ways to find a good fit that will grant me a peaceful sleep. like before, this is done to no avail. unlike before, i do not possess the strength to do right by myself because all I have left from a respectful past is a shadow made of bravado remnants. maybe tomorrow. A. Since I'm back in Kuching, we naturally shot FREYJA's new swimwear collection in Damai. I stay in so often here that i've forgotten what an eyeful the outskirts are. More road trips on the menu this summer!
Here's what my family believes in: There is no vacation like a cruise vacation. This spring, we had the utmost pleasure of cruising once again with Princess Cruises.
Sibu, 0216.I spent the last ten days in Sibu, a tiny Chinese town in Sarawak. Sibu's the hometown of both my parents, where my grandparents currently reside, and where I was born prior to being whisked off some place else. While spending time with my ageing grandparents was the sole purpose for my return, it gradually became evident that Sibu was an escape from everything.
When they say 'Skin care must be good enough to eat', every word holds true. As we all know, our skin is the largest organ in our body. What we don't know is that much of what we apply onto our skin is absorbed into our bloodstream directly, and they enter our blood at a rate faster than if we were to swallow it. Imagine eating cosmetic chemicals... no. Having heard about organic skincare for a while now, I took the plunge this year.
I was in for a birthday treat with a retreat. For our first anniversary, I surprised Clinton with Sekeping Serendah, a retreat with a glass box in the middle of no where. This time round, I was wondering why everything struck me with a sense of nostalgia.
The last time we were in Port Dickson, my age was still in the single digits. I had vague impressions of a resort overlooking the ocean with an open air bathroom, and memories of us teasing whoever was showering with threats to open the connecting windows. Apart from that, I had no clue what to expect for our getaway.
