Being the dog-loving nomad that I am, my pups and I inevitably move a lot. Having just moved into a condominium from a landed property where they used to be able to roam about, we've had a change-up in our routines to ensure our babies stay happy despite the 360 environment shift. A little background on our wanders... Fluffy has moved from his first gated-neighbourhood landed home to a low rise condominium, then a high rise mall apartment, then settled into a landed property with a generous garden and now, we're back in a high rise condominium. (psst, we are moving again.) Somewhere between all that moving, Fluffy fell in love, and an energetic little pupper called Croissant was born. They've been inseparable since. With both of them being attention seekers with an abundance of ardor and energy, their moping about and staring into space naturally pushed me to find ways to keep them active. But as you know, there are only so many walks and ball-fetches you can do in a day. After a basket of balls, bones, plush toys, rubber ducks & tuffies that couldn't help with their ruff days, we gave these interactive toys from Kohepets a try. Check out the videos below for guides on how to work these boredom-killers! Outward Hound Lucky Dog Slots Puzzle Dog ToyMy personal favourite, the Lucky Dog Slots. First things first, it is extremely cute to look at. To use the slots, you just have to lift the lid on the top and fill up the three cavities with kibbles or snacks, then pull the bottom tray out and it's good to go. Every time they feel like a snack, the doggos run over to the slots and tap on the tray to get their munch on. I like this loads as it lets them first, work for their food. Second, exercise their brain cells and third, get very entertained by the interactive nature of the toy. They've been using it for months and have yet to be bored of it. It's Fluffy's favourite thing to do all day every day, and maybe that's why he's getting so... round. I kid. It's really funny too- Imagine watching tv and hearing your dogs having a go at the slot machine, it gets a chuckle out of us every time. The best part? There are no losers at this slot machine- everyone gets kibbles! L'Chic The Foobler Mini Puzzle FeederYou know how your pups get all excited and frenzied when they hear unusual sounds? The Foobler does just that for ours, AND cues them for snack time. I had never heard of a toy like this before Ursula told me about it, and it is pretty amazing. There are six chambers in the ball which you can fill with snacks, and time to release every 15/30/60/90 minutes throughout the day (up to 9 hours!). It's quite a sight as once it's time, the Foobler buzzes and our pups stop whatever business they're up to to dash over and push it around for treats. Like the slots, it keeps them active even when we're out all day, and keeps my mind at ease knowing they'll have fun and exercise despite being indoors alone.
